Moving Your Charactera) Basic MovementUsing the MouseTo overcome your character's movements using the mouse simply left-click right then in the game window in places you want him to visit. The character will perform so automatically, using the shortest possible route. If the spot you've clicked onto no longer has sufficient reach, the character will stop.Although characters often avoid moving diagonally while walking towards their destination automatically, they may be nonetheless capable of doing so. To walk diagonally left-click on the character and make your finger about the mouse button, then move the cursor within the direction you need him to visit. Please note, however, that there is a short delay when moving diagonally. Using the KeyboardYou may also take control of your character's movement with the cursor keys or even the number keys for the num pad. Simply press 7, 9, 1 or 3 about the num pad to move the type on the northwest, northeast, southwest or southeast. Keep in mind that you can't climb up holes inside the ceiling unless you've a rope or the "Magic Rope" spell.To climb down a sewer grate right-click about it and select "Use".Finally, to climb ladders simply right-click for the floor before the ladder you wish to climb and select "Use".Note that it is sometimes possible to move up or down floors by climbing onto items or using the "Levitate" spell.c) Movement ModesThere are 2 movement modes available which define your character's automatic movement during combat. "Stand While Fighting" can cause characters to keep where they are in combat and "Chase Opponent" could make them charge towards the enemy. For further information please see the section on the combat controls.One further option should be noted here, however: it is possible to instruct your character to adhere to an amiable character around for the map without attacking it. To do so right-click on the smoothness and select "Follow". Characters which can be set to this mode attempt to hold as close towards the marked character as possible. If the marked character should leave the screen, the follow mode will likely be cancelled. You also can cancel the follow mode manually by right-clicking on the character and selecting "Stop Follow" or by hitting the Esc key.
