Techvision Sistemi Multimediali Srl was founded in March 2007 to realise an ambitious multimedia project in synergy with the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities – General Direction of Technological Innovation and and Promotion.

The project, called “Archeoguida”, within the ambit of the “Archeologia on-line” (Archaeology on-line) enterprise, was aimed at presenting cultural content regarding archaeological sites, museums and cities of art, using diverse interactive audiovisual devices for different age groups: Palmtops for adults and Game Boy Nintendo or game consoles for children and youngsters.

In 2007, the first tests were carried out with the realisation of a guided tour of the beautiful Villa Adriana in Tivoli (UNESCO site), available for children on game-boy, following which numerous other applications were created for prestigious cultural sites.

Techvision Sistemi Multimediali is a small production company which collaborates with highly skilled professionals, carefully selected according to the target of the product in question. The project groups are made up, therefore, of archaeologists, art historians, script writers, translators, set designers, illustrators and 2D/3D animators, photographers and cameramen, editors and software developers for the palmtop applications.

Professional recording studios are used for dubbing and famous voice actors and speakers lend their talent to our characters and commentaries. Our sound tracks are always original. Over the years, Techvision has acquired the know-how to put together a production chain which offers high value for money, and works to distribute the “Archeoguida” system nationally in as many sites of cultural interest as is possible: museums, archaeological and architectural sites, and to present edutainment and informative audiovisual products with a commitment to continuing and developing this positive learning experience with young people.

The main productions realised and distributed by Techvision and by third parties can be divided into three areas:

• Edutainment products for the valorisation of cultural heritage, specifically designed for children and younsters of different age groups
• Informative cultural documentaries, based on photos, films, 3D constructions, illustrations and animation
• Edutainment products on religious themes
